Objectives
- To determine the effectiveness of and to implement any needed changes to, the AOD Prevention Program currently in effect at Talmudical Seminary Oholei Torah.
- To ensure that the disciplinary sanctions described in the AOD Prevention Policy are consistently enforced.
Description of the Alcohol and Other Drug Prevention Program Elements
- Talmudical Seminary Oholei Torah is committed to maintaining a campus which is free of drug and alcohol abuse. The institution has adopted an AOD Prevention Program, which includes an AOD Prevention Policy and AOD awareness program to achieve this goal.
- The AOD Prevention Policy lists the institutional disciplinary sanctions to be imposed on all offenders, as well as Federal, state, and local penalties.
- The AOD Prevention Policy lists health risks associated with alcohol abuse and illicit drug use.
- The institution provides an annual AOD awareness program for students and employees that educates on the risks and dangers of drug and alcohol abuse, reviews the institutional AOD policy, and provides other essential information on the topic.
- The institution urges individuals struggling with alcohol or drug abuse to seek assistance and support. Help is available through national and community resources and hotlines.
